Walked the area near dock. Natives performed a cultural dance. Photos of marketplace, Apia Catholic cathedral, carved walkway with your guides, taxi drivers and hawkers of their wares.
We both bought native shirts.

Discovered this lovely island, appears to be inhabited. We are doing laundry today while everyone off exploring. Will visit volcano tomorrow.
Leaving San Francisco
Leaving San Francisco aboard Queen Elizabeth. Beautiful ship, passengers from Great Britain, Germany, Canada, Australia and a few Americans. Very limited wifi on board.

Victorian or Edwardian homes painted in three or more colors, most built 1849-1915. The great earthquake and fire of 1906 destroyed Nob Hill but left other areas intact.
San Francisco… California Academy of Science
Photos of the Grove Inn, the Painted Ladies, petted a Python, experienced an SF earthquake simulation, coral reef, penguins, flounder flatfish buried in the sand.
The Grove Inn built in 1885 as boarding house during the gold rush, has 15 bedrooms…Note no bedroom is marked number 13.
The bus service is wonderful, one dollar each for seniors, good for several hours, traffic is crowded.
Amtrak through Mountains
Photos of flumes which transport runoff to a hydroelectric dam. Donner Lake and Pass, travel through Mountains., mushroom rocks in streams.
San Francisco
Traveled by Amtrak through the mountains. Staying at the Grove Inn, a Victorian BnB in Alamo Square. Traffic is unreal…Ate at Seafood Grill. Beautiful city. Real trolley cars, Alcatraz island and the cruise ships area photos.
